Seymour Pink

photo 2-6

photo 1-6This October, in our own “Think Pink Pearls” way, made a commitment to give 50%t of the proceeds of all pink pearls to Wendy’s hometown charity Seymour Pink, a community’s fight against breast cancer.  It is with the happiest hearts (and tata’s ;)), that we will  be presenting them with a check for $1600!

Whether you wear your pearls in memory of your loved one,  a reminder of your own battle,  or you gave someone a piece to empower their struggle , we thank you and admire your courage!

This charity was started by my high school Science teacher, Mrs. Mary Deming. It’s her tireless fight and ability to motivate people that has made Seymour Pink such a success.

Some information on their great work from Seymour Pink’s Facebook Page:

“This past Monday night, we held our monthly Seymour Pink board meeting ( open to the public) at Shady Knoll. I wanted to share with you some information from that night’s meeting.

At this meeting, we granted financial requests amounting to $8000. To date, this year, we have financially assisted 100 men and women and their families!

Additionally, we gave $10,000 to Smilow* for 2 specific programs last month, as we posted here a couple of weeks. ago.

All of this is possible because, YOU have said YES to SEYMOUR PINK and united in the FIGHT against breast cancer. ….please remember that YOU make a DIFFERENCE…that your kindness, your generosity, your unending support is bringing light to someone else…that their burdens are lighter as a result of YOU..that GOOD will ALWAYS win over evil….
~~~~~AS we approach the holiday season, I am so grateful to ALL of YOU! THANK YOU! “
We’d love to share your photo’s on our Facebook or Instagram page, just #seymourpinkpearls!
Ever wonder who the eye is behind all the amazing images we use on Social Media and in our magazine advertising? You’ve seen her work, now here’s a look at our creative photographer and friend Dawn Chapman Whitty.
Dawn is a beautiful woman inside and out with a bohochic look and beachy hair. She is a local, living on 30A for 10 years now with her musician husband Mike and their beautiful little boy Chappy.1ffd0e69dd8187e29074cc6f9c5c44bf-2
DCW is originally from Nashville and splits her time between the Emerald Coast and the Music City.
Her artful eye has lent itself to all of Wendy’s editorial photographs  and the “La Vie Est Belle” lifestyle. From underwater mermaid photography to a family tree photo shoot, from our beach parties at Grayton to our runway show at South Walton Fashion Week, DCW is behind the lens for us.
I recently had the great pleasure to work with her on Wendy’s Christmas photo shoot (my first time doing this type of thing, so I was a little nervous) Her free spirit and easy-going personality is so much fun to be around, it made the 6 plus hours it took to shoot fly by.
You can Follow DCW on Facebook, Instagram and you absolutely must visit her blog for weddings, portraiture, lifestyle photography  and her ever popular “Beach Kiddos”.
When you are in  La Vie Est Belle in Seaside, FL, look around at her beautiful images while shopping for pearls.
