Seymour Pink

photo 1-6This October, in our own “Think Pink Pearls” way,  wendymignot.com made a commitment to give 50%t of the proceeds of all pink pearls to Wendy’s hometown charity Seymour Pink, a community’s fight against breast cancer.  It is with the happiest hearts (and tata’s ;)), that we will  be presenting them with a check for $1600!

Whether you wear your pearls in memory of your loved one,  a reminder of your own battle,  or you gave someone a piece to empower their struggle , we thank you and admire your courage!

This charity was started by my high school Science teacher, Mrs. Mary Deming. It’s her tireless fight and ability to motivate people that has made Seymour Pink such a success.

Some information on their great work from Seymour Pink’s Facebook Page:

“This past Monday night, we held our monthly Seymour Pink board meeting ( open to the public) at Shady Knoll. I wanted to share with you some information from that night’s meeting.

At this meeting, we granted financial requests amounting to $8000. To date, this year, we have financially assisted 100 men and women and their families!

Additionally, we gave $10,000 to Smilow* for 2 specific programs last month, as we posted here a couple of weeks. ago.

All of this is possible because, YOU have said YES to SEYMOUR PINK and united in the FIGHT against breast cancer. ….please remember that YOU make a DIFFERENCE…that your kindness, your generosity, your unending support is bringing light to someone else…that their burdens are lighter as a result of YOU..that GOOD will ALWAYS win over evil….
~~~~~AS we approach the holiday season, I am so grateful to ALL of YOU! THANK YOU! “
We’d love to share your photo’s on our Facebook or Instagram page, just #seymourpinkpearls!
